Varion V401P 4 Port Interface Card

Zapata Telephony Tormenta III PCI Cards are 4 Port T1 or E1 PCI Interface Cards Primarily designed for the Asterisk(tm) PBX.. Similar to the TE410P and TE405P. These function in 3.3v or 5v 32bit or 64bit PCI Slots.

The Tormenta III (V401P) is available in a T1 or E1 configuration and is fully supported by the Asterisk PBX. It is a half-length, full-height PCI Card supporting 4 T1/E1/PRI/PRA Trunks. Up to 96 (128 for E1) channels are provided. It was designed by Zapata Telephony, and takes full advantage of the Zaptel psuedo-TDM architecture. Zaptel Drivers are available for the Linux operating system.

The V401P supports telephony and data modes, and can even perform both functions on a single span for shared trunk applications. The card supports many standard telephony and data protocols, including RBS, PRI, EuroISDN, MFC-R2, Cisco HDLC, Frame Relay and SS7. (SS7 and MFC/R2 are supported by third party software. Varion has no control over the functionality or usability of SS7 and MFC/R2)
